Mentor- Mentee Cell

Student mentoring and the handholding is one of the best and appreciated practices in this college with a strong aspect of the student-centric and student-oriented culture of scaffolding. A Student Induction Programme in the beginning of each Academic session coincided and collaborated with Student Mentoring Cell.

The role of the Mentor in the development of critical thinking and creative faculties among the students is that of a paramount importance in the formation and shaping the outlook and the attitude of the students. A mentor is an individual, usually older, always more experienced, who helps to guide another individual’s development. The mentor’s role is to guide, to give advice, and to support the mentee. A mentor can help a person (Mentee) improve his or her abilities and skills through observation, assessment, modelling, and by providing guidance. With this purpose a well-structured mentor-mentee system has been developed in the college to facilitate the students an appropriate platform to learn, unlearn and relearn the various skill sets to realize the full potential and growth. The teachers in the college as a mentor have been allotted a number of students under this Mentor-Mentee system.
