A Green Campus is a place where environmental friendly practices and education combine to promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the campus. The green campus concept offers an institution the opportunity to take the lead in redefining its environmental culture and developing new paradigms by creating sustainable solutions to environmental, social and economic needs of the mankind. In Government Girls PG College Banda, we practice and maintain the following criteria and policies to make it a pollution free, energy saving green campus. Major Green campus Initiatives in our college are:

• Plantation of medicinal, floral, fruit plants and trees
• 5 KW solar power station
• Use of LED instead of CFL
• Waste water management/Rain water and roof water harvesting
• Digital Library/ e-learning park
• Restricted use of disposables (non-degradable) in college
